Ayrton Senna

Senna in the 1990 Formula One Season
Senna was already recognized as one of the greatest pilots of all time, and one of the greatest Brazilian sportsmen before his tragic death in Imola, Italy, in 1994.

Ayrton Senna da Silva was a Brazilian racing driver who won the Formula One World Drivers' Championship in 1988, 1990 and 1991. During the third race of the 1994 season, the San Marino GP in Ímola, Senna lost control of the car due to a broken steering bar, going straight on the Tamburello curve and crashing violently against the concrete wall. He was quickly rescued, transferred to the hospital, but a few hours later he was declared dead.
